When I pulled up at Bella Sala on a snowy Saturday morning and stepped out of my car, I had to catch myself as I realized the entire parking lot was literally an ice rink… I shuffled my way inside, peaked into the reception hall and realized, this was indeed the perfect day for a Disney & Kingdom Hearts themed wedding. I became giddy with excitement as I greeted the bride and groom and started to photograph bridal details. The detail work was out of this world- probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding. Each and every table had a different Disney movie theme, the cake had a princess castle topper, the sweets table was absolutely incredible, and centered on the head table were the Mickey Mouse bride and groom hats from Jarod and Sue’s engagement in DISNEYLAND!! I mean come on, could it get any more adorable!? (I may be partial though, I am also obsessed with Disney. =))
From beginning to end, Jarod and Sue’s wedding day was nothing short of enchanted. After the couple was finished getting ready, we arranged a first look in the ceremony space. I will never forget Jarod’s expression when he saw Sue- pure joy and happiness as he spun her around in his arms. Sue was accompanied by none other than Jarod, himself, down the aisle. The ceremony was sweet and sentimental, reminding everyone in attendance that love should never be taken for granted and that a marital union is worth a lifetime of celebration. After the conclusion of the ceremony (and despite the freezing temperatures), we got the guts to trek out into the cold for bride and groom portraits. As we were crunching our way through ice and snow, these two love birds still managed to smile and laugh through it all. Their joy was effervescent and it was clear to everyone that day, myself and my assistant included, that Jarod and Sue are truly a one of a kind couple. They are so fun loving, a bit goofy, and crazy in love… it continued to be an amazing night as a handful of family and friends toasted to their happiness in support of their marriage.
I am truly honored to be able to get to know so many amazing couples like Jarod and Sue. I not only get to document their most special day, but I also get to share in their happiness as they start their married lives together. Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs.!
