Hey there beautiful… so what’s your excuse?

May 9, 2019

You’ve always been a bit curious about boudoir.  You might like to look and feel like a super model for a day, give a sexy gift to your significant other, or just do something to celebrate YOU and the skin you’re in!  You think about it for a minute, then decide that there are a million reason’s why you shouldn’t do it instead.  Well, my dear, I am here to tell you why those reasons are PISH POSH!!!

1) I need to lose 10 pounds first

Nope- girl, you got curves?  It’s time to flaunt them!   Skip the stress, and let me position you in flattering lighting, use my magically slimming lens and softly retouch your photographs to smooth over any body imperfections.  I will have you looking like a million bucks, no gym needed. =)

2) I won’t know how to pose myself

Hi, I’m Grace, and I will pose you!!!  We will discuss any insecurities before the session and I will position you to highlight your absolute best assets (pun intended).  Coaching you into the pose allows you to relax and not worry if you’re “doing it right”.  I will help guide you in everything, from facial expressions, to when to curl your toes.

3) It might be embarrassing to be scantily dressed in front of a stranger!

Everyone will have a bit of nerves at first and it’s totally normal!  But let me reassure you, the comedy of me showing you my “sexy” poses in my mom get up, fanny pack attached (probably) will put an end to any fear or nerves you had!!  What’s more, I will be attentive to YOUR comfort level!  If you don’t want too much skin showing, bring an oversized sweater and let’s make the session ultra flirty!  My studio is a safe space, no judgements, you can be as conservative or as sultry as you want!   I will encourage and uplift you along the way, we’ll laugh together and it’ll end up being so much fun you’ll wonder why you were nervous in the first place.

4) What if my significant other doesn’t like them?

Nah hunny just stop right there.  Your significant other will like them.  Your significant other will LOVE them.  100% guaranteed, you are going to blow their socks off.  =)

5) I don’t own sexy lingerie

Who says you have to wear lingerie!?  Do you have a dress that makes you feel beautiful, a favorite leather jacket, a swimsuit that flatters you in all the right ways, or maybe your SO’s dress shirt or jersey? BRING IT!  If you are unsure of what to wear, bring a handful of options and we can get creative together to capture your unique style and personality!

6) It would be fun to have a beachy session but what if someone sees me!?

One of the fun and unique opportunities I offer with my collections is the option to have an outdoor boudoir session!  Before having a baby, my pup and I LOVED to spend our free time hiking around the beautiful lake Macbride and while doing so, we stumbled on some pretty amazing and secluded beachy spots.  I will say, these locations are just a ways off of popular hiking trails, so I cannot guarantee that no one will see you, BUT if you are adventurous, it is 100% worth it!

7) What if my pictures leak on the internet somehow?

No worries here, when you book your boudoir session, we will both be signing a legally binding contract ensuring the complete privacy of your images.  You may be wondering then how I have these photographs of other women- these beauties chose to release select images to me to use as examples of how I pose and what others can expect from boudoir!  If you were to choose to do the same, under no circumstance will I release any image that you do not give approval for.

8) I’m too old, already have a baby, or don’t like something else about my body…

Back to my point in #1.  Let’s do something to positively impact our perceptions of ourselves.  This is about more than being or looking attractive…  We are women and we are BADASS!  We can bear children, we can age with grace, and we can celebrate our one and only body that allows us to be such superheros.   We might be left with some stretch marks or wrinkles we might not have had before, but these are reminders of our accomplishments and our true beauty.

9) It’s a frivolous expense

Look at it this way- this is something you are doing for yourself, something that you might not get another opportunity to do again.  It’s not really a material investment, it’s a treat for your self image and self confidence.  And let me tell you- IT IS SO WORTH IT!  These are the things you look back on later in life and smile about.

So… what’s stopping you now?
