Okay, can we talk about location for a minute? We were originally planning on downtown Iowa City for a classic, urban look to Nile and Kat’s engagement session, but, unfortunately, the weather had other plans in mind. Rain. We decided to try a different day and a location near their home in the Quad Cities, so, naturally, being drawn to water, I attempted to find a part of the river walkway that wasn’t flooded… in my dreams maybe that existed, but it didn’t in reality! So, Nile and Kat came to the rescue and suggested the spot where their nuptials will take place in July. I simply couldn’t argue knowing that Duck Creek Park had beautiful spring blooms and would be absolutely stunning at sunset!
These goofballs were just a dream to work with. Laughs came effortlessly to these two, their playful personalities are hopefully as evident in these photographs as they were to me behind the camera. I loved every single part, from capturing some super sweet moments, to Kat dominating at rock paper scissors by the end!! So excited for their wedding this summer!
