I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun just editing a wedding; a smile rarely left my face this entire week spent on the computer. This rambunctious group wanted to do their own thing for their photos, to be silly and spontaneous, and you know what, I AM ALL FOR IT!! Who says you have to pose for every shot!? Finding the uniqueness and the differences in each wedding and in each couple is a part of my job that I absolutely love. =)
Ashley and Jason’s ceremony was held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, their family and friends packed the church full to witness the sweet exchange of vows. After a short jaunt via party bus to their reception venue in Fontanelle, IA, we climbed a bit of a hill to reach the perfect spot for some wedding party pictures. Between good natured bantering, attempting to walk and laugh at the same time, and a few groomsmen running into the woods holding hands…, I think we managed to capture some fantastic moments and memories. Ashley and Jason’s reception venue, 16 Oaks was gorgeously decorated with baby’s breath and white roses, wooden accents and glass lanterns, and most importantly a giant cupcake table! The night was incredible. After some impressive speeches and tear-jerking dances, the couple and I took full advantage of the gorgeous sunset over the hills for some insanely romantic bride and groom portraits.
At the end of the night after I said my goodbyes, I had to pull off the side of the road to take one last shot of 16 Oaks tucked in the hills before heading home. It was a day I won’t soon forget. Congrats to Ashley and Jason Hunziker, I wish you much happiness in your married lives together.
