November 17, 2019
Last Saturday night was extraordinary and let me tell you why. Okay, the November night we had (50+ degrees combined with a dreamy sunset) was the first reason, but the second reason resulted from a bit of an embarrassing moment on my end! About 5 minutes into shooting this engagement session I realized I had somehow managed to lock my keys in my car… yep, photographer fail. I had to ask Ali and Morgan to not only
chauffeur me around the park, but to help figure out how to not leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere after sunset!! And, of course, they were amazing and so helpful. We came up with a plan, and throughout the evening, I really got to know these two (and vice versa)! The rest of the night was magic in the making. Ali and Morgan were completely comfortable being themselves in front of the camera, and as we explored this beautiful park at sunset, I couldn’t help feeling like I was sitting in on a super romantic date night. And I was ALL FOR IT!!
One of my favorite parts of the night was watching these two love birds dancing around every corner. They had this little routine, and I mean, it was adorable to say the least. As the sun dipped below the tree line, we all got to witness the amazing tranquility of Lake Macbride that night. The reflection of the clouds on the water was unbelievable. I’ve just got to say I have an amazing job, not only because I get to be creative in such a beautiful place, but I get to meet awesome people like Ali and Morgan. I CAN’T WAIT to capture more amazing moments during their wedding at Little Lights in May!!!
